Public heritage projects engage people with ‘their’ tangible and intangible archaeology, history and heritage through activities, thus making archaeology and heritage accessible and relevant to wider audiences
Consultation and Investigations: advice on building
collaborative projects with community groups and
stakeholders, and facilitating public engagement in
archaeological investigations.
Interpretation and presentation: including exhibitions,
display panels, interpretation boards, leaflets, books
and websites.
Education Materials: providing materials linked to national
curriculum, and extra circular training programmes, for
schools, lifelong learning and professionals.
Communication: advice on maximising the benefits from
the involvement of the media including television, radio,
newspapers, and magazines.
Grant Applications: assistance in bid proposals for funding
to support and encourage public outreach initiatives,
including the Heritage Lottery Fund.
