ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENTS AND STATEMENTS

Assess impacts of development projects to archaeological

and heritage sites, monuments, buildings and landscapes

as part of the Environmental Impact Assessment process

leading to representation at public inquiry

Familiarity with DMRB programmes as well as urban

regeneration schemes

Seek preservation in situ if feasible, or prepare mitigation

plans for heritage sites or resources to be preserved

through investigation and recording

Develop mitigation designs that identify research issues

within historic/archaeological contexts to guide

investigations and recording to ensure cost-effectiveness.

Plans are consistent with professional best-practice –

meet statutory requirements and carried out to relevant
